Since last year, Facebook groups created to promote local restaurants have been doing so with great success. When power outages made food and heat hard to come by, they helped with that too.

Diners in Irving are mourning the loss of beloved Captain Nemo's Steak Submarines, a presence in the city for nearly 50 years. Terra Mediterranean, home of a popular lunch buffet in Las Colinas has closed too.
