The city of Coppell has started construction on the Campion Trail expansion project, which is expected to give more residents connectivity to other trails and cities. The project is being funded by Dallas County and is designed and managed by the city of Irving.

7-Eleven on Tuesday completed the purchase of 1,030 stores in 17 states, including Stripes stores in Texas, from Dallas-based Sunoco for $3.3 billion.

Three North Texas companies made the top 50 on Fortune’s annual World’s Most Admired Companies list, which was topped by Irving-based ExxonMobil.

Change is in the air in downtown Irving. It’s plain to see, even on Main Street, a historic block with decades-old storefront awnings and a median lined with tall, leafy trees. Up the way, an old-fashioned soda fountain serves patty melts and tater tots, and a train track junction dramatically ends the traditional core of what has become a very untraditional suburb.
