Developers are building an apartment community near Irving's new Toyota Music Factory entertainment and retail center.
The 387-unit rental home project will be built east of the Irving convention center near Northwest Highway and Las Colinas Boulevard, across from the Irving Convention Center.
Builder JPI is developing the Jefferson Promenade apartments on land the Irving-based developer recently acquired. The project is adjacent to a commuter rail station.
"Las Colinas is our corporate home, so we are very grateful for the opportunity to help attract more residents," Brad Taylor, JPI managing partner, said in a statement. "People who work in the area's many corporate offices want all the amenities of an upscale urban lifestyle without a long commute.
The 4-story apartment project will include a fitness center and will have some 2-level units. O'Brien Architect designed the building.
The Irving market is one of North Texas' busiest apartment building locations, with more than 1,855 rental units under construction."Las Colinas continues to outperform the rest of the Dallas metro market," said Taylor. "Jefferson Promenade will more than answer that need."
JPI is one of the top builders in North Texas with 3,837 apartment homes under construction.
