The owners of a new restaurant in Irving are pledging to deliver authentic regional flavors from India to North Texas.

Mythri’s Indian Cuisine celebrated its grand opening last month, and is now offering a range of dishes with their roots in both northern and southern India.

Signature items include a variety of samosas and a fried cauliflower dish known as Gobi Manchurian. And along with masala chicken lollipops, tandoori chicken, butter chicken and biryanis, the menu boasts some dishes that may be less familiar to Texas diners: The Ankapur Desi Kodi Kura is a chicken curry that comes from the Ankapur village, and royalla iguru is a spicy, thick curry made with prawns.
