The Irving Economic Development Partnership (Partnership) has named Diana Velazquez, PCED, from Longview, TX, as its new Vice President of Economic Development. Ms. Velazquez was with the Longview Economic Development Corporation (LEDCO) in various business development capacities for five years before serving as LEDC’s Vice President for the last two years. Since 2016, she helped create over 1,800 jobs and $400 million in capital investment for the East Texas city. Additionally, she has nine years of financial experience in the Texas banking industry in the Mount Pleasant, Tyler, and Pittsburg markets.

Bowman, IOM, CCE, President and CEO, Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and the Irving Economic Development Partnership made the announcement saying, “Diana is a bright, rising star as a certified Professional Community Economic Developer (PCED). Velazquez is a graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler and holds a Master of Business Administration in Business Management from Texas A&M University in Texarkana.
