Trade Development Assistance Center
The objective of the center is to facilitate communication of business information and assistance between companies in Irving and the international community.
The Center complements and expands the Irving Sister Cities program by focusing on to become more focused on international business development. The initial focus target for development is directed at Mexico, Texas’s number one trading partner, and will be expanding into additional markets such as Asia.
The Center established an International Trade Program designed to:
- Conduct trade missions from Irving as well as host visiting trade missions
- Target specific sectors or markets to facilitate matchmaking activities
- Conduct information and training seminars on doing business in foreign markets
The Center works in partnership with the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce (USMCOC) to leverage binational business networks through the USMCOC’s 18 chapters throughout the U.S. and Mexico.
