Major Real Estate Developments
Irving continues to grow at a fast pace. While some projects may remain on the drawing board for longer than originally expected, many others are moving forward.
Here are just a few of the projects currently underway:
Toyota Music Factory
The Toyota Music Factory is a 410,000-square-foot entertainment complex on 16.7 acres located in the heart of the Las Colinas Urban Center.
The project was planned and developed through a partnership between the City of Irving and The ARK Group. The live music venue, run by Live Nation, holds 8,000 spectators in the indoor/outdoor venue. The development includes 25 restaurants and bars, an outdoor event plaza, an 8-screen Alamo Drafthouse theater, and 100,000 square feet of office, which has been leased by a single tenant.
Water Street
Water Street is a mixed-use development in the Las Colinas Urban Center located on the shores of the 126-acre Lake Carolyn.
Water Street features almost 60,000 square feet of dining and retail space and 300 luxury apartments. The development is a mere five-minute walk to a DART Orange Line Light Rail station. The project also includes a park for special events, such as a farmers market or festival, and pathways for the public to enjoy access and views of Lake Carolyn.
Hidden Ridge
Hidden Ridge, located on Carpenter Ranch, the homestead of Las Colinas founder Ben Carpenter, is a 110-acre mixed-use project currently under development.
The site will also include a 1.2 million-square-foot campus for Irving-based Pioneer Natural Resources and 1.5 million square feet of corporate office space for Verizon Communication. In addition, there will be a 200-room full-service hotel, 1,200 apartments or residences, 80,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space and a two-acre green space with amenities.
