5-Star Chamber
Due to the commitment to quality in all aspects of our business, the Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce earned—and retains—a 5-Star accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Recipients are recognized for “sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community.” The Irving Chamber was first accredited in 2009. It was the first 5-Star chamber in Texas and one of only 124 chambers—two percent—among the 7,000 chambers nationally and has retained that distinction since then.
The U.S. Chamber describes the accreditation as “the only national program that recognizes chambers for their effective organizational procedures and community involvement. In order to become accredited, a chamber must meet minimum standards in operations and programs, including areas of governance, government affairs, and technology. This extensive self-review can take 6-9 months to complete.”
