Chris E. Wallace, President and CEO of the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce where he oversees administrative and staff operations as well as the economic development marketing/retention initiatives for the City of
Irving.
Prior to being named Chamber President, Chris served as the Vice President of Administration for the Las Colinas Association where he successfully developed and implemented a community relations program for the 12,000-acre Las Colinas development. Before relocating to the metroplex, Chris was the Business Development Director for
Reese Technology Center , a 4,000-acre business park developed from the former Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock , Texas
. He is a 1992 graduate of
Texas Tech University , where he currently serves as a member of the University Chancellor's Council and the College of Mass Communications Advisory Committee .
Chris has experience in economic development marketing, strategic planning, and public relations including management in both the public and private sectors. He is a member of the prestigious committee of 100 of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and also serves on the boards of the Texas Association of Business and Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives. He has also played an active role in several city and state political campaigns. Chris is a strong advocate of civic engagement and has been a member of numerous arts, business and municipal-related boards/ commissions including the Irving Charter Review Committee, Salvation Army Advisory Council, Irving Schools Foundation Board, the Irving Symphony Orchestra Board, and the Dallas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Board of Directors. Chris is also a member of the La Cima Club Board of Governors, a member of the Irving Rotary Club and is Vice President of the DFW Humane Society.
Chris lives in Irving and is a past president of the Valley Ranch Residential Association Board of Directors.
