DFW AIRPORT
As home to the world's third-busiest airport, Irving is at the hub of a global transportation network.

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport [link to www.dfwairport.com] brings the world to Irving with nearly 2,000 flights each day to 135 domestic and 39 international destinations. From Irving, you can reach either coast in three hours, London in nine, or Tokyo in 13 -- plus the five to 15 minutes it takes to drive to the airport.

Building for the future
DFW Airport has positioned itself for future growth with a $2.7 billion Capital Development Program. Completed in July 2005, the program's major components are:

  • International Terminal D. Within 2 million square feet of space, International Terminal D serves passengers with 28 departure gates, 99 ticketing stations and a U.S. Customs facility capable of processing 2,800 passengers per hour. The terminal features soaring ceilings, large-scale works of art, gourmet restaurants, upscale boutiques and a state-of-the-art post-9/11 security system. An attached parking garage holds 8,100 vehicles.
  • Grand Hyatt Hotel. Integrated into the design of the terminal, and directly accessible to it, the 298-room Grand Hyatt Hotel features over 17,000 square feet of meeting space, as well as restaurants, a spa, rooftop pool and fitness center.
  • Skylink. The world's largest "people mover" system, Skylink connects DFW Airport's terminals with high-speed trains that move passengers between terminals in five to nine minutes.

Cargo services
DFW Airport is also home to an impressive global distribution center, with 56 cargo carriers; 2.6 million square feet of cargo facilities; and Foreign Trade Zone No. 39, a Class A business park with direct highway access.
