Chris Wallace
President / CEO
Chris Wallace has been President and CEO of the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce since October of 2004. He manages the sixth largest Chamber in North Texas as well as the Irving Economic Development Partnership. Wallace is a member of the prestigious U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 and serves on the board of directors of the Texas Association of Business, Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives as well as the Congressionally-commissioned National Multi-Modal Transportation Steering Committee.
During his leadership at the Chamber, Irving has been successful in attracting corporations such as Research in Motion (Blackberry), Fluor Corporation, TXU Energy, SanMar Corporation and Health Management Systems to establish their headquarters in Irving-Las Colinas. Irving is an international community that is home to more than 8,000 businesses, including the global headquarters of four Fortune 500 companies and the presence of more than 40.
Prior to being named Chamber President, Wallace served as the Vice President of Administration for the Las Colinas Association where he successfully developed and implemented a corporate communications and marketing program for the 12,000-acre Las Colinas development. Before returning to the DFW Metroplex, Chris was the Business Development Director for Reese Technology Center, a 4,000-acre business park developed from the former Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas.
Wallace is a 1992 graduate of Texas Tech University and was named an Outstanding Alumnus of the University in 2008. He currently serves as a member of the Texas Tech Chancellor's Council and the College of Mass Communications Advisory Board. He was also a recent regional finalist in the White House Fellowship Program.
Wallace has experience in economic development marketing, strategic planning, and public relations including management in both the public and private sectors. He has played an active role in several local, regional and state political campaigns. Wallace is a strong advocate of civic engagement through his involvement with numerous social service, arts and municipal-related boards/commissions.
