SCORE’s
Counseling and Workshop Numbers Increase in First Quarter FY02
Comparing the first quarter SCORE performance numbers
from FY01 and FY02 helps SCORE evaluate how chapters are performing
in terms of volume in several areas from year-to-year.
Measuring the number of services SCORE provides to the small
business community gives the association a basis from which to develop
goals and implement new programs.
67,761
clients received individual counseling assistance during the first quarter
of FY02.This is an increase
of 6.16% from the first quarter in FY01.Attendance in workshops increased by 11.33% in the first quarter,
as 25,695 clients attended one of the 1,409 workshops that chapters
presented.
Of
the 67,761 clients who received counseling, 16,237 obtained counseling
through email, while 51,524 clients received face-to-face counseling.
While
SCORE members increased total services by 7.54% (86,907 to 93,456),
the performance numbers are 8% behind our first quarter goal of 101,500
total services.
