Irving-based JPI — the busiest apartment builder in North Texas — has gotten funding to start another rental community in Las Colinas.

The Jefferson Eastshore apartments will be built near the Irving Convention Center and the new Music Factory entertainment and retail complex.

The 286-unit development is off Northwest Highway and has access to DART’s commuter rail line connecting Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and downtown Dallas.

“Las Colinas continues to outperform the Dallas metro submarket,” Matt Brendel, senior vice president and development partner at JPI, said in a statement. “Las Colinas is JPI’s home and we are proud that our investment in the area has contributed to the area’s success.”

JPI bought the land for the project earlier this year.

The first apartments in the Jefferson Eastshore building will be ready next year.

JPI currently has with 3,874 apartment homes under construction in markets including Las Colinas, Dallas and Richardson.
