Irving ISD has earned “Superior Achievement,” the highest rating possible on the state’s Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST).

In its 15th year, School FIRST is a financial accountability system for Texas school districts developed by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). The primary goal is to achieve quality performance in management of school districts’ financial resources. Every school district is required to prepare an annual report to disclose the district’s financial management performance rating provided by TEA based on its comparison with financial measurements, ratios, and other indicators established by the Commissioner of Education.

This is the 15th year the District has achieved “Superior Achievement,” a rating based on financial data provided for the 2014-2015 school year.
