The Irving ISD’s Adult Education is dedicated to assist parents build confidence in their abilities to communicate in English in order to support their child(ren)’s education.
In Irving, 49% of the population speaks a language other than English. Irving ISD is dedicated to the belief that parents are the primary role models for their children and that parent participation in advancing their own education is a strong influence on the educational success and life-long learning habits of their children. Irving ISD has a strong vested interest in supporting and expanding the adult education and literacy program in order to enhance our students’ academic growth.
Irving ISD will host a new series of free Adult English Literacy classes starting September 12 at various locations throughout Irving.
