Texas Emergency Care Centers, which has three facilities and its headquarters in Houston, has been bought by Texas-based Family ER + Urgent Care, the company said Wednesday.
Family ER also said it had acquired Plano-based ER Centers of America.
The combined company will have five facilities in the Dallas, Houston and Lubbock areas offering emergency room services, and one facility in the Dallas area offering emergency room and urgent care services. Texas Emergency Care has locations in Cypress, Pearland and Humble.
“Family ER + Urgent Care, ERCA, and TECC were each founded upon a commitment to excellence in patient care and satisfaction,” said Scott Pickett, CEO of Family ER + Urgent Care. “It was only natural that they would come together to establish a more comprehensive model to meet the unscheduled healthcare needs for our communities, whether emergent or urgent care.”
The facilities will continue to operate under their current names.
