Dr. Jose Parra, Irving ISD Superintendent of Schools, was selected to serve on a panel at the Texas Early Childhood Learning Summit, hosted by the Governor’s Office, Texas Education Agency and the Texas Workforce Commission.
The event was held at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas on Wednesday. The panel also included an area early childhood school principal, teacher, child care director and child care staff member.
Participants discussed the importance of PreK as well as the best resources or professional development opportunities for early childhood educators, the challenges early childhood educators face and what they looked forward to seeing happen in early education in the future.
The summit provides resources and professional development opportunities to those who work in early childhood.
