The Shams Group successfully implemented their credit card processing product, “ezPay”, with Houston-based North Cypress Medical Center. The implementation automated the current process of posting payments back into MEDITECH. NCMC implemented the “ezPay” credit card processing in all registration areas and in the business office to eliminate the manual workflow process. NCMC went from manually entering transactions into the MEDITECH system (on forty plus credit card machines) to automating this process with The Shams Group’s “ezPay” product where transactions sync automatically into the MEDITECH system. This process saves hours of time and frees up the administrative staff to dive further into other job related tasks such as payment collection. On average, administrative staff take half an hour (each) per day entering transactions into MEDITECH on 40 credit card machines which saves thousands of dollars towards time spent entering transactions into the system. TSG solutions also provides NCMC the functionality to handle refunds and get business analytics/reporting regarding credit card transaction patterns and recurring activity.
