Irving’s unemployment rate has decreased to 3.1 percent from 3.2 percent in April. This is the lowest rate that has been since before 2005.
The success of the Irving Economic Development Partnership wins helped contribute to this low unemployment rate. Economic development is critical to the quality of life in the Irving-Las Colinas community.
Irving’s 3.1 percent unemployment rate compares favorable to the Texas unemployment rate of 4.1 percent.
The national average unemployment rate remains at 4.7 percent.
