Resident Input Sought on Future Grant Use

Each year, the City of Irving receives grant funds that help with a variety of community programs, including home repairs, homelessness prevention, funding of nonprofit programs and other services. In preparation for 2016-17 fiscal year grants, the city’s Housing and Human Services Department (HHS) is seeking input for the 2016-17 Annual Action Plan. The resident survey is available online through July 20.

The action plan will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It outlines the planned use of grant funds that are received from HUD. Residents are invited to provide input on the use of these grant funds and the action plan by filling out the online survey or by attending either of the two upcoming public meetings:

Both meetings will be held at City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd. Residents can also view the Draft 2016-17 Action Plan online or in person at the Planning and Community Development offices on the first floor of City Hall.
