This week is National Economic Development Week as designated by the International Economic Development Council. Economic development is critical to the quality of life in the Irving-Las Colinas community. New development contributes to our tax base, entices restaurants and retail to open their doors here and maintains our 3.5% unemployment rate!
The Irving Economic Development Partnership is hosting several programs in recognition of the week including a roundtable with Mayor Beth Van Duyne and a bus tour of some of the great projects happening in our community. On Thursday, the Irving Economic Development Partnership, a partnership between the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce the City of Irving, Irving Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Las Colinas Association, will be recognized with a proclamation at the Irving City Council Meeting.
