The event was part of the partnership between Quest Diagnostics Sports Science and Human Performance division and Kelvin Beachum, offensive tackle for the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars.
The students participated in a panel discussion that included Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, Chad Richards of Quest Diagnostics, Richard Schwabacher of Sports Science and Human Performance Diagnostics and employees of the laboratory.
The event was in support of STEM education initiatives in conjunction with a three-day event coordinated by Beachum. Beachum is also a Blueprint for Athletes Ambassador, a new service powered by Quest that gives athletes insights into biological measures to help improve performance.
