Irving and MacArthur High School hosted special ribbon cutting ceremonies last Thursday and Friday, respectively to unveil their new fine arts and athletics facilities.

Team Irving and community partners were invited to the events which included special remarks from Board President Dr. Steven Jones, Superintendent Dr. Jose Parra, Director of Fine Arts Jeff King and Director of Athletics Clint Roddy.

Afterward, guests had the opportunity to tour the renovated spaces and enjoy the theater department’s production of White Christmas at Irving High School and an orchestra concert at MacArthur High School. Between Nimitz, Irving, and MacArthur combined, over 110,000 square feet of new and improved fine arts and athletics spaces are now open to students.
