Presented by City of Irving

If you’re ready for some holiday cheer, submit your application to be part of this year’s Holiday Extravaganza parade. The parade takes place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, along Second Street and Irving Blvd. in downtown Irving.

Families, businesses, community organizations and neighborhoods are encouraged to enter a decorated vehicle, float or walking group. Registration is free, easy and can be completed online. Applications are due by Monday, Nov. 23.

The theme for the 2015 parade is “The 12 Days of Christmas,” and participants are encouraged to decorate entries using one or more of the 12 elements featured in the song.

The annual parade is followed by a stage show at Irving City Hall, featuring live music, free hot chocolate and a visit from Santa. The evening concludes around 6:30 p.m. with the lighting of the city’s Holiday Tree and a fireworks display. For more information about the event, call (972) 721-2501.
