The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce will celebrate a successful year at its 83rd Annual Meeting on Thursday, October 29 at 11:30 a.m. at the Dallas Marriot-Las Colinas Hotel.

The Chamber accomplished 20 national and international economic development wins resulting in 3417 jobs, $105.2 million in capital investments and an additional 1.9 million square feet of commercial space. Additionally, the Chamber secured economic development investments from 109 private entities and received the highly esteemed 5-Star Re-accreditation from the United States Chamber of Commerce.

Our city has world-class amenities, a desirable central location, and a skilled workforce, making it a premiere place to do business,” Beth Bowman, IOM, CCE, President and CEO of the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and the Irving Economic Development Partnership said. “Through our partnership with the City and our 5-Star team, we’re excited to celebrate these accomplishments.”

The keynote speaker will be Texas Secretary of State, Carlos H. Cascos. As the 110th Texas Secretary of State, Cascos was elected as Cameron County Judge in 2006, re-elected in 2010 and again in 2014. He will discuss Texas’ role leading the nation in job growth and the importance of the work our regional business community is doing to continue that success.

The 83rd Annual Meeting will honor our Immediate Past Chairman Gary Huddleston of Kroger and 12 retiring board members. Incoming Chairman, Michael McCall of the NCH Corporation, will also share his vision for the 2015-2016 fiscal year.
