We are calling on you to help us in supporting a critical piece of legislation.

Our United States Congressional leadership will vote on whether to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank of the United States- in the next 24 hours.

The Ex-Im Bank is a critical tool for businesses of all sizes including several here in the Irving-Las Colinas area. It’s a financing mechanism that allows these businesses to be competitive in the global marketplace and contribute to our vibrant economy. It comes at no cost to our tax payers and supports jobs in our region.

The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and the Irving City Council passed resolutions supporting the reauthorization of the Bank. Since 2014, the Chamber has hosted business briefings and roundtable discussions to elevate the small business voice and allow Congressional leadership to understand the impact this tool has on our small businesses across the United States. Through our partnerships with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Association of Business and the North Texas Commission we have held Ex-Im Business Rallies focused on the critical impact this Bank has on jobs in Irving-Las Colinas, North Texas and beyond.

It has been 119 days since the Ex-Im Bank Charter expired! The aerospace and aviation industry is vital to a healthy economy in Irving-Las Colinas and Texas. Boeing, one of the largest U.S. Manufacturers in the aerospace and aviation industry relies on the Bank to stay competitive globally.

This link will take you to an interview with Dennis Muilenburg, President and CEO of The Boeing Company.

Additionally, this link will take you to a message from Ed Dolanski, President and CEO of Aviall, a Boeing Company headquartered right here in Irving. His message provides the specific impact the expired Charter has locally.

The next 24 hours are critical! Please contact your Texas Congressional member and urge them to support the Reauthorization of the Ex-Im Bank of the United States. Our partners at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have an online form that will directly email Congressional leadership. You can find it here.

Please consider the importance of this measure, ensuring the future success of the Irving-Las Colinas business community, including jobs and keeping Texas the top exporting state in the Country.
