DART

A public hearing, preceded by a series of community meetings, has been scheduled to receive comments on proposed bus service changes in Dallas, Irving, Richardson, Garland, Farmers Branch, Carrollton, Glenn Heights and Rowlett. The hearing will be held 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the DART Headquarters Board Room, 1401 Pacific Avenue, Dallas.  Proposed modifications:

  • Improved Weekend Service – Routes 361, 401, 463, 488, 527, 531
  • Improved Off-Peak Service – Routes 49, 463, 527, 549
  • Expanded Service Areas – Routes 26, 385, 887
  • Reduced Frequency/Hours – Routes 60, 486, 500, 507, 510, 526, 529, 533
  • DART On-Call Adjustments – Glenn Heights (add midday), Richardson (discontinue)
  • Discontinued Service – Routes 234, 503

Based on input gathered at the meetings and hearing, the DART board of directors will act on these changes in October 2015; implementation would occur no later than March 2016. All comments (written or oral) received during these events will be considered in evaluating the proposals.
