After a national search, the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau has hired Michael Zumbaugh to fill the role of vice president, finance and administration. He begins his new job Nov. 2.
A Michigan native, Zumbaugh is a 23-year veteran of the Greater Lansing (Michigan) Convention and Visitors Bureau, where he most recently served as vice president, finance and administration. A graduate of Davenport University, Zumbaugh is a Certified Tourism Ambassador and a Certified Destination Management Executive, one of the highest designations in destination marketing.
He is also an active member of the Destination Marketing Association International Finance and Administration “shirtsleeves” group, and created a similar program for the Michigan Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus.
At the Irving CVB, Zumbaugh will oversee finance, operations, information technology and human resources.
