The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber will host two seminars for small businesses in the next few weeks.
The first seminar will be Wednesday, August 26, 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. and is a webinar entitled “What Small Businesses Need to Know About The Switch to Chip Card Technology” which is designed to teach small businesses about the changes in credit card payment technology that will go into effect beginning in October. The second seminar will be September 1 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon and will focus on creating a culture of exceptional customer service in your business. This seminar, in partnership with SCORE, will be led by Rick Vernon, a successful entrepreneur with over 30+ years of experience serving as a business trouble shooter for Ford Motor Credit. Rick is a detail-conscious executive, possessing the ability to engage employees at all levels. He is adept at foreseeing threats and capitalizing on opportunities that others may not recognize.
