The Irving ISD has started making changes to its parking lot, entrances and tax office to prepare for the expansion of State Highway 183. The expansion is part of the Midtown Express Project.
The district has moved its Tax Office from the south to the north side of the building. This will be its new permanent location. Other changes include restructuring the building’s entrances and modifying the parking lot.
The building’s main entrance, which faces West Airport Freeway, is closed. Visitors and employees must enter the building through the entrance on the north side of the building. The building’s main entrance is expected to re-open by the end of August. Hours for the district are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A five-day schedule resumes Aug. 10.
In other news, school starts Aug. 24. Only a few more weeks of summer break, students!
