Irving’s unemployment rate for May 2015 followed the trend of the State of Texas and the National unemployment rate and increased 0.1% in May to 3.6% from 3.5%. 

Irving’s 3.6 percent unemployment rate compares favorably to the Texas unemployment rate of 4.3 percent and the national average of 5.5 percent.
