A new all-suite hotel company has landed in an Irving business park.
Developer KDC said that it has sold a development site in Avion Business Park on State Highway 114 to Woolley’s Classic Suites.
The hotel chain will build a 250-room, full-service hotel on the property near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
“KDC has been laying the groundwork to develop this high-profile park for a couple of years,” Bill Guthrey, senior vice president at KDC, said in a statement. “The much anticipated completion of the frontage road on State Highway 114, along with the addition of Woolley’s Classic Suites, will unlock the true value of Avion Business Park.”
The 50-acre business park is located between Esters Blvd. and Freeport Parkway in Irving.
The hotel will be the second location for Woolley’s Classic Suites, which opened its first hotel last year in Denver.
The American College of Emergency Physicians recently broke ground on a new three-story, 57,000-square-foot headquarters on a site near the planned hotel.
Construction on hotel will start this fall with an opening set for winter 2016. American College of Emergency Physicians plans to open its new building next summer.
