As more than 100 patrons stood in line outside the doors to Half Price Books in Irving, Irving Chamber ambassadors and Half Price Books employees gathered inside for a ribbon cutting Thursday. Chamber representatives presented a plaque to the store manager for joining the chamber and a staffer from Rodney Anderson’s office presented a certificate.
After the ribbon was cut, the people in line entered the new store, receiving free tote bags that contained a $5 coupon. One lucky patron received a $100 gift card.
