Irving is celebrating Bike to Work Week, May 11–15, by hosting the fifth annual Bicycle Fest:

10 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 9, 2015 
221 E. Irving Blvd., (northwest corner of Irving Boulevard and Delaware Street)

Bicycle Fest focuses on providing a free opportunity for event attendees to learn more about bicycling in and around the Irving area, including general bicycling information, safe routes for commuter bicycling, basic on-the-spot bicycle checks, information about bicycling gear, a Kid’s Bicycle Safety Rodeo, transit options for commuting throughout DFW, entertainment and more. This year’s event includes:

  • Live music by the Boxcar Bandits
  • Food trucks
  • Kids’ Bicycle Safety Rodeo
  • Pedal smoothies
  • Free helmets (must qualify, while supplies last)
