Places 4, 6 and 8 are up for election.
City Council Places 4, 6 and 8 are up for election. Registered voters will cast their ballots during early voting from April 27 through May 5 and on Election Day, May 9. Any resident who is a registered voter may vote for Place 8. Places 4 and 6 are single-member districts and only registered voters living in the respective districts may vote for these candidates. This year’s candidates are listed below in ballot order.
Place 4 – Those vying for the Place 4 seat are David Gutierrez, a small business owner who has resided in the city for 28 years; Don Wilson, a counselor who has lived in Irving for 65 years;
Joe Putnam, an attorney who has resided in the city for 46 years; and Phil Riddle, a retired firefighter who has lived in Irving for 66 years.
Place 6 – Place 6 candidates are Brad M. LaMorgese, an attorney who has lived in Irving for 13 years, and William “Bill” Mahoney, also an attorney, who has resided in the city for
Place 8 – Candidates seeking election for the Place 8 seat are Tom Spink, an insurance agent, insurance owner who has lived in Irving for 25 years, and David Palmer, an executive who has resided in the city for 21 years.
