“Celebrating Irving – The City And The Man” preliminary rounds of the 8th annual Irving Trivia competition will be held in the West Irving Library auditorium at 4444 West Rochelle Road, on Saturday, April 18, beginning at 10am. Finals will be on Saturday, April 25, at the Valley Ranch Library, 401 Cimarron Trail, at 10am.
Questions for the trivia contest will be based on the life and works of author Washington Irving, plus the history as well as current facts about the City of Irving. Applications for registering a team may be obtained by calling 972-252-3838. The deadline for a team’s registration is April 13.
This year the public will be able to submit trivia questions for the contest. For each ten questions submitted, a “save” may be designated for your favorite team to use during the completion. Those entering questions will be eligible for a prize to be awarded at the preliminary round on April 18. For a complete set of the rules or more information, contact the Irving Heritage Society at 972-252-3838.
