The U.S. House passed the Save American Workers Act (H.R. 30). This legislation to repeals ObamaCare’s 30-hour definition of “full-time employment” and restores the traditional 40-hour workweek. In a statement threatening to veto, the White House said there is “no evidence” the law is causing a shift to part-time work.

On January 12, 2015- Texas Comptroller Glen Hegar unveils $113 billion in projected revenue for the State of Texas in the 2016 – 2017  biennium. This is an increase from the $101 billion in funds projected in the 2014-2015 biennium.

The Texas Legislature begins its 84th session on January 13, 2015. The session lasts for 140 days and is schedule to adjourn on June 1, 2015.
