Irving, Texas has been named a ‘Top City for Job Growth in 2014’ by ZipRecruiter.com, an online job board for employers and employees.
Irving came in at No. 8 on the list, which studied job growth year over year to determine 20 cities that are creating jobs the fastest. Irving is the only Texas city to make the list.
The list is the second in a series by the online platform that explores important job trends of 2014.
Irving has a 5 percent job growth, according to ZipRecruiter.com, “and boasts strong financial service and telecommunications sectors” in addition to its strong presence of corporate headquarters and Fortune 500 and 1000 companies.
Huntsville, Ala. took the No. 1 spot on the list with a 6.1 percent job growth.
