Small Business Saturday was a great success, especially in the Heritage Crossing District of Irving.

Deep Irving Market Day, a street market along Main Street in downtown Irving, created a festive setting with about 50 vendors selling original art, handmade crafts, vintage items, food trucks, and even a farmer’s market.  The City of Irving added to the festivities by having the clock tower chime holiday music throughout the day.  The Chamber provided shopping bags to shoppers in the Heritage Crossing area to make shopping easier.

Small businesses in Heritage Crossing enjoyed an influx of shoppers due to this special emphasis.

Evelyn Moore, owner of Angels & Moore, said Saturday was great day for her business.

“I hope Deep Irving Market Day partners with Small Business Saturday again next year,” Moore said.

The Chamber was pleased to have served as a community facilitator for Small Business Saturday providing businesses, who registered with them, shopping bags, special door mats, and even American Express gift cards to use as door prizes.

The Chamber would like to remind everyone to remember to Shop In Irving for their holiday gifts.
