In observance of Thanksgiving, libraries will close at 5 p.m. Nov. 26, recreation centers will close at 6 p.m. Nov. 26, recycling centers will be closed Nov. 27, Irving Arts Center will be closed Nov. 27 and only administrative offices closed Nov. 28, and there will be no residential trash, curbside recycling or brush collection Nov. 27–28. All city offices, including those listed below, will be closed to the public Nov. 27–28.

  • Heritage/North Lake aquatic centers
  • Hunter Ferrell Landfill
  • Irving Arts Center
  • Libraries
  • Recreation centers

The Irving Arts Center box office and galleries will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Nov. 26 and will resume normal business hours Nov. 28. North Lake Aquatic Center will remain closed Nov. 27–28. Libraries as well as recreation centers will resume normal business hours on Nov. 29, while all other offices and services will resume normal business hours Dec. 1.
