United Kingdom-based Pulsion Technology, Ltd. recently selected Irving for its first U.S.-based headquarters.

Pulsion began in Scotland in 1995 and specializes in developing mobile software solutions that connect businesses to their field services teams.

“Pulsion is just one example of Irving’s diverse portfolio of companies, vibrant daily B2B operations and why Irving is one of the fastest cities in the nation for tech-startups,” said Beth Bowman, president and CEO of the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and Irving Economic Development Partnership. “Irving is a global city, we’re thrilled Pulsion selected Irving and the Chamber team is working to provide support to Pulsion as they make their move to the states.”

The Irving Chamber’s International Economic Development Team assisted Pulsion in their expansion.

Before deciding on Irving as the location for the company’s headquarters, the senior management team considered many different locations, including Delaware and Atlanta.

After spending time in Las Colinas as part of the NCH project, Pulsion CEO Graeme Wilson decided that Irving was the right location for the company.

“Since we began working with NCH, we have been overwhelmed by how welcoming people have been in the area. You can immediately see how enterprising a city Irving is,” Wilson said. “Combine all that with the fact that Irving is one of the top three cities in the nation for tech start-ups and it really wasn’t a difficult decision for us to choose Irving as the city we wanted to invest in for our U.S. subsidiary headquarters. We are looking forward to developing more successful partnerships with Irving businesses as we have done with NCH.”

Pulsion is working closely with Irving-based NCH Corporation on a global IT development project to mobilize the NCH workforce. Pulsion is currently co-locating with NCH and has already employed its first American software developer.

“We invest a lot in our employees back in the UK with a strong focus on nurturing young talent and hope to install a similar ethos in our U.S. subsidiary,” said Pulsion Owner John McGuire. “I’m really excited about the opportunities our U.S. subsidiary will open up for us and we are looking forward to developing strong relationships in the Las Colinas community.”
