Kitty Baker, founder and director of Irving Senior Arts, rounded up some of her members to volunteer for the Irving Chamber. This time it was for the chamber’s Back to School luncheon which the chamber hosts every year to show its support for the Irving Independent School District.
The volunteers stuffed about 600 goody bags for the teachers in about three hours. Along with Baker, the volunteers were Lynn Rudolph, Len Marquardt of Fort Worth, Beth Paul, Betty Smith, Jo Ann Walker, Carol Shinoda of Dallas, Marquerite Sproule, Shirley Ewing, Carol Segretti of Arlington and Rosemarie and Ken Seipel of Arlington. Some will also help at the luncheon.
The Back to School Luncheon was held this past Friday at Nimitz High School, 100 W. Oakdale.
