The Summer Art Market will featuring painters, jewelry makers, henna tattoos, live music , face painting, mixed media and ceramics in at the shopping center at State Highway 635 and MacArthur Boulevard. Artists will display art and crafts under multiple awnings. There will be a collaborative large format painting auctioned for charity with proceeds going to Irving Cares. The event will include live paintings from several artists with all artists asked to donate 10 percent of their total sales to Carter BloodCare.
North Lake College art students and Professor Brett Dyer, along with a group of versatile artists will be showing their work.
The Summer Art Market is all about giving back to the community.
Host and coordinator J.C. Phrey teaches art to children at Pinta Paint in Irving as well as to his own children Clint and Kenzie.
Fish City Grill will have drink specials and live music on the patio. The Summer Art Market is free to attend.
