Conexis Benefits Administrators and Mentor Texas have partnered with North Lake College to provide job training using a $895,319 Skills Development Fund grant from the Texas Workforce Commission. TWC chair and commissioner Andres Alcantar will present the check at 10 a.m. today to CONEXIS president Michael Close and Jennifer Hannah of Johnson & Johnson (Mentor’s parent company) at CONEXIS, 6191 N. State Highway 161 in Irving. The grant will be used to provide 657 new and incumbent workers with information technology and industry-specific regulatory and lean training. Those trained will include production workers, customer service representatives, quality technicians and business operations specialists. Upon completion of the training, the workers will earn an average hourly wage of $23.76.
