The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce partnered with the MetroTex Association of REALTORs and DART to provide a unique tour of Irving’s economic growth from the DART Orange Line on April 23. The tour also visited the new Parkland Hospital.

The Parkland tour was arranged by Dallas County Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia.  The tour began at Irving’s Belt Line Station, with passes provided by DART, and Don Williams, Director of Business and Visitor Services for the Chamber, narrated various development projects as the train moved through Irving, including the Las Colinas Urban Center and the former Texas Stadium site.

The REALTORs learned a lot about Irving.  One REALTOR said he was so impressed, he will definitely show more homes in Irving.

Following the tour of Parkland, the group rode the Orange Line back to the Belt Line Station. Due to this success of the tour, another tour is being planned with MetroTex for May 14.
