The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly Five-Star Business Mixer at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at Westway Ford, 801 W. Airport Freeway in Irving.

The event allows business leaders to develop new business relationships in an informal environment.

As a part of the mixer, the Dallas Regional Mobility Coalition will reunite stakeholders to provide an update on developments of the State Highway 183 corridor, as well as construction timelines and traffic impacts.

As part of DRMC’s program, State Representative Linda Harper-Brown will be recognized for her involvement and work in advancing the State Highway183 project. The Dallas Regional Mobility Coalition took the lead role in pushing through legislation to allow the Request for Proposals for SH-183 to become a comprehensive development agreement.

“We appreciate the Coalition utilizing a popular Chamber networking event to reach out to businesses and civic leaders, and we greatly appreciate Westway Ford for providing a great venue for the business mixer,” said Chris Wallace, president and CEO of the Irving Chamber.

Officials scheduled to attend are Bill Hale, TxDOT district engineer; Victor Vandergriff, commissioner of the Texas Transportation Commission; and Michael Morris, North Central Texas Council of Governments transportation director.
