An Asian fast casual concept based in Canada is targeting Dallas-Fort Worth as its primary area of expansion for the next 10 years. Wok Box Fresh Asian Kitchen plans to open 60 new restaurants in North and West Texas, making us the state with the concept’s highest saturation of locations. “Dallas-Fort Worth is one of the biggest markets in the U.S.,” said Lawrence Eade, CEO of Wok Box Fresh Asian Kitchen, adding that Canadian markets are often much smaller. “So we don’t have the opportunity that often to do this.” Wok Box opened its first Texas location Saturday at 7707 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Irving, and plans to have two or three more open by the end of the year.
