The Irving Heritage House at 303 South O’Connor will be abuzz with activity as the Irving Heritage Society presents the annual Vintage Valentine Tea on February 9, Sunday, 2pm-4pm. This 100th
anniversary of the first housewarming party held by new homeowners C.P. and Virginia Schulze will find the home decorations reminiscent of the hearts and cupids used in 1914. The tea table will be lavishly filled with special treats; some taken from recipes of yesteryear. A special ensemble of historical figures has been gathered to present the “Reflections of a 1914 Vintage Valentine Party.”
The Irving Heritage House was built in 1912 and is a Recorded Texas Historical Landmark. This year’s celebration is chaired by Heritage Society past presidents Mary Oberlin and Barbara Terrill. The public is invited to the Valentine Tea on February 9 and admission is free. For more information about Heritage Society activities, visit www.irvingheritage.com or call 972-252-3838.
