The Irving Independent School District has been placed on the fourth annual AP District Honor Roll for increasing students’ access to Advanced Placement course work and for increasing the number of students earning scores of three or higher on AP exams. Irving ISD is one of 477 districts in the U.S. and Canada, and one of 14 in Texas, to be named to the list. Since 2011, the district says it has increased the number of students taking AP classes by 13.6 percent and increased the number of students earning scores of three or higher on the AP exam by 22.9 percent.
