For the 15th consecutive year, DFW Citi employees participated in a day of community service. This time, more than 900 employees from the Irving campuses and other DFW locations delivered about 2,500 meals to VNA Meals on Wheels clients.  The effort, called Citi Delivers Dallas, included a pep rally-style kick-off that included morning aerobics, performances by Citi talent show winners and entertainment by the Irving High drumline and cheerleaders. The company not only saved VNA money by delivering the meals, but also presented a $10,000 check to VNA on behalf of its local Citi employees. “Everyday thousands of seniors go without food in Dallas County,” said VNA president and CEOKatherine Krause. “It’s not because we don’t have the capacity to feed them, but because we don’t have the resources. Citi is helping us change that.”  Currently, VNA has the ability to prepare 14,000 meals a day but lacks the funding and volunteers to meet this capacity. Visit vnatexas.org.
